Fried Steak (Bistec Empanizado)

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

4  New york Strip steak filets or boneless top sirloin steak (about 1/2" thick)
¼ teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon of oregano
2-4 eggs
1-2 garlic cloves, finely minced
2 tablespoon of milk
Oil for deep frying
1-2 cups of fine bread crumbs, pre-seasoned


TIP: You can make a steak cutlet sandwich with this recipe

Season steaks with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, and limejuice. Marinate for at least 15 minutes. 1 hour to overnight is best

Heat the oil in a frying pan

Beat the eggs and milk and prepare the bread crumbs

Dredge each steak on eggs, then bread crumbs

Fry until golden. Set aside and let cool

Serve with your favorite side dish
