Fried Cheese

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Servings: 5
Cooking Time: 2 minutes each
Cooking Tools: Deep Fryer or skillet

2 lb of frying cheese
½ cup of flour


TIP: Create shapes by using small cookie cutters or melon scoop to create small balls

Heat oil on medium temperature

Cut cheese 1” thick and dredge in flour

Fry 1-2 slices until golden (1-2 minutes)

Serve alone or with your favorite fruit topping, mangu, boiled plantains or any other boiled or baked vegetables


Fried cheese is one of the staples of Dominican breakfast accompaniments and finger food. Only cheese labeled "fry cheese" can be used for this recipe.
