White Beans (see recipe for dry white beans)

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Servings: 3-5
Cooking Time: 30 minutes

2 cans of white beans (24oz)
2 cans of water (24 oz)
1 chicken bullion
A pinch of freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon of tomato paste
1 tablespoon of white vinegar
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 cup of smoked ham cubes or chicken breast
Salt (optional)

1/2 of small onion
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon of oregano
2-3 sprigs of cilantro
2 twigs of thyme or
1 aji gustoso


TIP: To reduce sodium levels, drain beans
TIP: Mash 1 can of beans for extra texture
TIP: You can chop the herbs, instead of blending them

Blend or chop the last 5 ingredients

In a pot, heat oil and saute chopped or herbal blend, black pepper, chicken and tomato paste for 1-2 minutes. Then add beans and saute for 1-2 minutes

Add water, chicken bouillon, vinegar and cook for 15-20 minutes or until it reaches a medium consistency

Serve with white rice or your favoite side dish
