Pan-Roasted Steak
with Caramelized Onions

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Servings: 4

4 boneless sirloin or tenderloin steaks (10-12oz) or fillets
1 tsp of salt
4 medium onions, thinly sliced crosswise
1 lime juice
½ tsp of oregano
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 Maggi chicken bouillon
½ tsp of freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 cup of Shiraz white wine


Remove fat, if any, from meat and rinse

Season with garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, lime juice and marinate for at least ½ hour

In a skillet, heat oil and and brown the meat. Add the chicken bouillon, grind it with your fingers before adding to the skillet.

Cook steaks according to your taste(well done, medium well, etc.). Set aside

Saute onions in the same skillet for 2-5 minutes.

Stir. Deglaze pan 1/2 cup of wine  to enhance flavors and to created gravy.

Garnish steaks with onions and its juice and serve with white rice and beans or baked potatoes
